If you want to have Authentic Bengali food in Seattle, this is your go to. From Kolkata noodles, jhaal muri, fish fry to Nolan gurer roshogolla, they have it all. I am sure there North Indian food is tasty too. We tried the fish fry, macher paturi (mustard fish wrapped in banana leaf and steamed) and Nolan gur, all amazing
We recently went to this Bengali restaurant and had an amazing experience! Definitely recommend if you want to try authentic Bengali food. We ordered fish fry, kochi pathar jhol and we really liked them. And the rest of them (momos, chicken chap) tasted well too. Extremely satisfied with food and service. Give this restaurant a try if you haven't already :)
We took out from this place a few times, and the food was decent. Recently, we went there for a dine in, the experience was bad. The wait time to be seated was ~15 min. After getting our table, we had to wait for 45 min to get the food. The biriyani was OK (not authentic as it used to be), mutton was delicious. The rumali roti was cold and hard. The service was below par. There were just 1-2 servers in total, making the situation worse. Only a big table (10+ guests) was served, as if rest of the guests were doing them a favor by dining in. We found a strand of hair in our food (see photo), and complained to the server Pooja F. She came and simply shrugged it off, and didn’t even say sorry once. This restaurant employees have shown signs of unprofessionalism in the past, but this time they crossed the limits. One should think twice before dining in. You don’t get nearly what you paid and tipped for. Not recommended based on three instances (two takeaways, one dine in).
This is probably the only Kolkata Bengali style food serving restaurent in the Portland/Seattle area. I ordered Kolkata style Mutton Biryani, Mochar Chop, Echor torkari, Macher Paturi and Gurer roshogolla. I loved every single food of theirs as it does taste like Kolkata style cooking. Food is more in the expensive side but then again there isn’t much Kolkata style food options in the area. Gurer roshogolla could have been more softer but other than that all the food I ordered tasted great. I will be back again when in the Kirkland area.
We visited recently to celebrate my wife’s birthday to have a dinner. The food is very tasty. We already liked turmeric kitchen tasty food when they served during Durga puja organized by Moitree.
Mutton biryani is vey delicious. We enjoyed a lot. Thanks.
It's our first-ever Diwali celebration in a resto (we're non-Indians) and we could not be more pleased with their delish food and attentive service even though it's a lunch buffet. Convenient location and ample parking, too! We cannot wait to go back and try their ala carte menu!
We loved this restaurant because they served Kolkata-style cuisine. We tried their Kolkata-style mutton biryani and Golbarir Kosha Mangsho, both of which had an authentic flavor. I had been craving Kolkata-style cuisine in the USA, and finally, I found the right place!! The employees were also very friendly and attentive!!
Starting with a different than usual indian menu with kathal curry, cutlets, golgappe and so many other things, loved the server at lunch time, her presence of mind and exceptional welcoming vibe enhanced the experience for us. We ordered kathi roll, golgappe, chai, roti and chicken and everything tasted well..
